Instrument Cluster Removal Process

Tools needed:

• Torx #10 Screw Driver
• Phillips #2"
• Flat Head Screw Driver

There are four (4) presure clips that hold the cluster in place as illistrated. Mercedes does have has a special tool that you can insert between the dash and cluster to pull the cluster out yet after time the cluster will get stickey so to make it easier we suggest that you push the cluster out about an inch from the back then pull the cluster from the front.

To do this you will need to drop the knee bolster down and push from the left side keeping the cluster even.

Next lower and telescope the steering wheel out of the your way to pull the cluster out evenly.

Once the cluster is out remove the two wiring harnesses from the cluster. On each on the connector push down on the lock and holds the lever in place while pulling back on the lever. Rotate the purple lever 90 degrees then pull the connector out.
